Where is the Ocean? – #Andrea

What we see in the world depends much on the perspective – the world view – of the observer. Therefore: Where is the ocean? It is in the wink of your eye.

Where is the Ocean? by Transpoesis

During the long hours of coronavirus confinement, watching the fish, Cloe, in the aquarium felt like a meditation and a poetic inspiration. With poetry, Andrea sees herself through the other (human, nature, fish). The phone-camera captured Cloe’s swimming, and editing made it an ongoing travelling in memories and in dreams for a time after lockdown.

The wink of the eye is just there by coincidence, or by magic. The picture of the fishing rod was taken during a walk outside – during a time of breathing in freedom.

What we see in the world depends so much on the perspective – the worldview – of the observer. Therefore: Where is the ocean? It is in the wink of your eye.

About the music: The ocean sound was made with a plastic bag-covered hand recorder in the washbasin of Momo’s bathroom with water and bubbles blown in through a straw, completed with some reverb.

Due to lockdown, the two artists collaborate from their respective “home studios”.
