Presenting the first series of the KSR Gazelles (January edition)

Presenting the first series of the KSR Gazelles (January edition)

We announced this project in the beginning of the year and the first gazelles are finally here with PRE-ORDER links. Each gazelle costs 460 naira only.

These are beautiful poetry pamphlets (gazelles) curated and edited by the exceptional editor Carl Terver reputed for his aureate taste. The published gazellers for January edition of the KSR Gazelles are—

Gogo Jam

Faridah Giwa-Bello, a fantasy and Afrofuturist writer, whose minimalism and compactness of words make her poems sharp and visceral, with her title Swan of the Ocean’s Fluid Skin.

Bá Sabouke, Nigeria’s enfant terrible of poetry, whose poetry is magical that it gives readers the feeling of Moses approaching the burning bush, with his title A Meccan Spring.

Nasiba Babale, Rumi’s daughter, and Sunflower Poet of the North, whose simplicity of language is the beauty of her works, with her title The Rain Is Like You.

Richard Ali, author of The Anguish and Vigilance of Things, a relentless social entrepreneur and son of the Soudan, whose poetry leaves the reader to ponder more about life and existence, with his title Looking back is what breaks the heart.

And KSR Digital Editions editor Carl Terver, whose poetry chapbook For Girl at Rubicon has remained a readers’ favourite and underground classic, with his title everyone I know is ripe in plumage.

This pre-order tenure is going to take ten days, counting from today 15 March, and the gazelles will be finally available to download on 24 March. Feel free to order as many copies as you want. To accompany the gazelles is a poetry podcast of ten poems which shall be released on 19 March, free-to-listen and download on Anchor and Soundcloud.

We look forward to a great year of poetry with you as you place your pre-orders and share the links to other lovers of poetry.
