The Great Tears by Mustafa Lawal Maiyasin
I wish we would have A rain of mercy. We should speak to the Dead ones, -- the death have Carried us along after you, our families Are wailers and mourners. We've lost our domiciles, our souls Have gone astray. Our siblings and relatives are scared, They might get killed by murders, Sooner or later. We should write on leaflets, and hang on The roads; we're all the victims of the death. There's a time, a person might hope to die. He would go to a cemetery, and wish to burry There. Nobody would dust him, and lull him To take him home. He might ask when shall death comes? I am blind from it, it's abstract let me know. The good leaders have been soliciting for Freedom and liberation. Today we are abandoned, we feels inferior. We are desperate for food, the hunger starved us To death. The others are smashing on the road, Looking for a safety. From where it all comes? We're like slaves or beasts, the criminals Get paid for their work, and enjoyed their lives On the streets. We're exploited by the exploiters, not so called 'leaders' those Are good servants who are ready to serve the humanity.
