SEVHAGE and Konya SHAMSRUMI, popular poetry promoters in Africa are proud to publish a brief history of july part II by the poet, tares oburumu. The chapbook is a collection of twenty-one poems that are “a personal meditation, an autobiographical exploration of a poet, the circumstances of his birth and his immediate lineage.”
tares oburumu is an outstanding Nigerian poet who recently won the 2022 Sillerman Prize for African Poets. He has been in the news for releasing several chapbooks and joins the SEVHAGE + KSR list with this fascinating chapbook of his. Speaking on the publication, S. Su’eddie Vershima Agema, Managing Editor of Konya Shamsrumi noted that Tares is a talented and prolific artist whose commitment to poetry is inspiring.
