Submit to the KSR Monthly Poetry Gazelle to publish some of your finest 10 poems in a digital poetry pamphlet.

We imagine a gazelle of poems as shorter than a chapbook. The name is derived from the gazelle, of the antelope species, for its beauty and other characteristics such as its alertness, vigilance, and agility. Can a round number of 10 poems give us this?

Each month, KSR will publish 50 poems in 5 gazelles, accompanied by an EP of 10 poems (2 each) selected from the 5 gazelles, which will be uploaded on Anchor and also available on Spotify.

Design: Gogo Jam

We expect two kinds of submitters. New, unpublished poets who are looking for a place to showcase their works, and already published poets who wish to re-introduce their poetry to readers. Poems can be selected from a forthcoming collection or an already published collection, respectively, as long as poets in the second category own republishing rights. In other words, it is a way to advertise your collection to readers or buyers.

We encourage all African poets to submit. Send your gazelle to terver.ksr@gmail.com.

Your submission should be an MS Doc of 12-15 poems, formatted to 12pt TNR font, single-spaced. Let your email title read Gaz[MONTH], E.g. “GazFEB.”

In the body of email, include your name, nationality, a short bio, and Twitter handle, if available.
