Poetic Cloud – #Andrea

Being on a cloud, once in a while, is the poet’s strategy for finding inner peace in a world in a rush and stressed—a sensation visitors may experience through the installation's sensory experience.

Poetic Cloud was an installation inspired by the clouds as a metaphor for imagination.

Ribbons sewn with poetic words reflected the contemplation of clouds and the artists’ inner, emotional journey.

Exhibition co-curators, Andrea Grieder and Seren Ilkdogan, had met during an art-therapy training in Saas Fee, in Switzerland near the Italian border, where their artistic collaboration took a starting point.

Over the last few months, the two artists worked on the co-creation in their respective hometowns of Zurich and Barcelona. The installation at Hybrid Art Fair 2026 emerged from the shared stories of the words, thus creating a poem on the spot.

The site-specific creation is made of natural materials such as sheep’s wool, cotton, and tree branches to evoke the sensation of being on a cloud. Being on a cloud, once in a while, is the poet’s strategy for finding inner peace in a world in a rush and stressed—a sensation visitors may experience through the installation’s sensory experience.

One morning during the fair, the artists found the ribbon The Rabbit Catches the Lion at a different place—the mystery of how it moved from one branch to another may be held by the cloud—but they also immediately saw that new poetic lines were created by the new constellation of the ribbons:

The rabbit touches the Lion
Spirits of the Mountains
Gratitude
