#SubmitNow: Awaiting Revolution Poetry/Essay Anthology

Society of Young Nigerian Writers, Imo State Chapter, as a result of current happenings, is launching a call with theme `The AWAITED REVOLUTION.’

Writers are hereby invited to submit poems and essays on `THE AWAITED REVOLUTION’ for her upcoming Poetry/Essay Anthology.

Entries should be centered on present happenings in Nigeria.

Thus, only works written on the theme will be considered for publication.

Criteria:

  1. Submission is FREE and open to writers from any part of the world.
  2. Entry must focus on the theme —’THE AWAITED REVOLUTION’
  3. Avoid the temptation of giving your work the title of the theme of the anthology. Entrants are expected to be creative with their titles.
  4. There is NO monetary prize attached for submitting your work for publication.
  5. Only works that ‘comply’ with the submission guidelines will be considered for publication.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

  1. Maximum of ONE entry per entrant for either poem or essay.
  2. All submissions must be in English Language.
  3. We like it brief and concise. 500 words will do for essays, and 30 lines for poetry.
  4. Author’s information —location, contact details, and a short bio of not more than 120 words should be included in the submission.
  5. Entry MUST be typewritten and sent AS AN ATTACHMENT.
  6. Entry MUST be the original work of the entrant.
  7. All entries should be sent on or before 20th July, 2022. Late entry will not be accepted.
    8.The subject of the email should be ‘THE AWAITED REVOLUTION ANTHOLOGY’.

BENEFITS:

  1. All successful and shortlisted entries will be published in the AWAITED REVOLUTION’ Poetry/Essay Anthology.
  2. All successful/published entrants are entitled to an e-copy of the published anthology.
  3. All successful/published entrants will be given Certificates of Participation.
