Konya Shamsrumi announces Naseeba, Abeiku and Star as Columnists

L-R: Babale, Okpeh, Tsiwah.

Press. For immediate release.

The Konya Shamsrumi family is excited to welcome three new talented African poets as columnist-bloggers to the home of African Poetry.

Our new columnists are the Nigerian Star Okpeh, award-winning poet and author of Dance of Dawn. Abeiku Arhin Tsiwah from Ghana is a poet who explores the vast world of African traditions in his poetry. He is the author of Beyond the Horizon and Other Poems from Ghana. And the Nigerian Naseeba Babale, known throughout the northern part of Nigeria as The Poet of Light for her love and promotion of poetry. Naseeba’s the secretary of Poetic Wednesday Initiative—the leading poetry promotion organization in the north.

On behalf of the Konya Shamsrumi family, I welcome you.

Our press keeps getting the attention of the African poetry space after the publication of Umar Sidi’s The Poet of Dust and Richard Ali’s The Anguish and Vigilance of Things.

In the first quarter of 2020, we will be releasing two chapbooks by Rasaq Malik Gbolahan and Funmi Gaji.
