The Ghanaian Professor of African Studies at the University of Vienna, Adams Bodomo, will be delivering a Public Lecture at the Federal University, Lokoja, Nigeria, this morning. It will be the very first such lecture in one of Nigeria’s newest universities, located at the confluence of the Niger and Benue rivers which defines West Africa.
Professor Bodomo’s research expertise includes:
* African linguistics (African language structures and situations)
* African diasporas / Africa-China Relations / Global African diaspora studies
* Documentation and revitalization of African languages and literatures
* Digital humanities (languages, literacies, and literatures in the age of IT).
While at Lokoja, he is a guest of Professor Gbenga Ibileye of the Department of English and Literary Studies.
